We've been planning a trip to LA for about a week or so to meet with a couple of manufacturers to help us get a better idea of what we are getting ourselves into. Of course, the night before the trip, Mila got really sick and woke up at 2 am with a terrible cough, which made it even harder to leave her all day for the first time without one of us with her (big step for momma here!). But I know why i'm doing this, for her and our future, so I knew I had to do it. No turning back now!

Running on about 3 1/2 hours of sleep and tons of coffee, we were off on our 6 hour trip to LA and it was WELL worth it! We met with an amazing team and chatted about the collection, Bi-Rite Creamery (one of the best ice cream spots in SF), parking tickets, fabrics, Mila (of course), etc., etc. It's safe to say that we thoroughly got to know one another. After all the fun talk we browsed the Arts District a little and discussed what the next step would be. 

We decided to go through with it! I mean, I'm so tired of saying no, let's save our money, I'll work on this another time...maybe when we get more money (like that'll ever happen). We had a really good feeling about it and so we did it. It's so unlike us but we're so excited that we took this leap of faith. Our dreams are no longer on hold! Mila James is officially in the first steps of becoming a reality! Woo hooooo!!

We ended our fantastic yet super exhausting trip cuddling up with Mila while splurging on some Round Table in bed. The perfect way to end the perfect day. 

If anyone has any tips on how to get funding on a start-up, please share!! Banks don't seem too quick or happy to help stay at home moms with a ton of student loans who don't "work." I wish I could give them a list of things I do daily as a stay at home mom, I bet the money would come pouring in, haha!
